Cancellation of Registration of Democratic Municipal & Allied Workers Union

The Registrar of Labour Relations, in terms of section 106(2B) of the Labour Relations Act No. 66 of 1995 (“the Act”), intends to cancel the registration of Democratic Municipal and Allied Workers Union of South Africa (“the Union”) for the failure to comply with the provisions of sections 99 and 100 of the Act as well as for the Union failing to comply with the Guidelines for strike balloting.

The Union or any other interested parties are invited to submit written representations as to why the registration should not be cancelled.
