What’s the difference between Supplier- and Enterprise Development?

It’s quite simple actually as the element name provides clarity in itself:

  • “Supplier Development” refers to assistance provided to a current supplier during your measured financial period (i.e. this supplier already appears on your local supplier list), whereas

  • “Enterprise Development” refers to assistance provided to SME’s that are NOT your suppliers (i.e. before making the contribution and at the time of the contribution, the SME does not appear on your local supplier list).

The above forms of “assistance” refers to monetary and non-monetary contributions as referred to in the Codes and more specifically the Enterprise Development Benefit Factor Matrix.
