Newsflash! Important Update for Employers on Employment Equity Sector Targets.

The Department of Employment and Labour (DOEL) and the Commission for Employment Equity (CEE) have initiated consultations on numerical sector targets under the Employment Equity Amendment Act, No. 4 of 2022, effective from 1 January 2025.

Why is this important?
These consultations are key to shaping sector-specific Employment Equity (EE) targets aimed at addressing the under-representation of designated groups in the workforce, as required by Section 15A(2) of the amended EE Act.
