Road Freight and Logistics Industry – Extension of the Main Collective Amending Agreement
The Minister of Employment and Labour has recently declared that the Main Collective Amending Agreement concluded within the National Bargaining Council for the Road Freight and Logistics Industry will be extended to non-parties. This announcement, formalised through an official Notice, marks a significant development in the regulation of employment conditions within the industry.
The extension of this Agreement means that the terms and conditions agreed upon by the parties to the Agreement will now be binding not only on those original parties but also on all other employers and employees operating within the road freight and logistics sector.
Part 10 of the Main Collective Agreement sets out specific provisions that apply to particular categories of employees within the industry. This section is designed to address the unique conditions, duties, and requirements of different employee groups, supplementing or modifying the general terms of the Agreement.
The Agreement will come into effect from 9 June 2025 and will remain in force until 28 February 2026, providing a clear timeframe for the application of its provisions.
