Notice of the extension to non-parties of the Footwear Sector Amending Collective Agreement

The Minister of Employment and Labour has declared that the Footwear Sector Amending Collective Agreement which was concluded in the National Bargaining Council of the Leather Industry of South Africa, as set out in the Schedule to this Notice, be extended to non-parties. This means that the conditions specified therein shall be binding on the parties who concluded the Amending Collective Agreement and on other employers and employees in that industry.

The agreement specifies minimum wage rates for various job categories within the footwear sector, which are structured in the Annexures to this Notice.

This extension aims to ensure that all workers in the footwear sector benefit from standardised working conditions and entitlements, enhancing overall labour rights within the industry.

The Amending Collective Agreement comes into effect from 3 February 2025 and for the period ending 30 June 2026.
