Newsflash! Collective Agreement of the Glass sector extended to non-parties: Bargaining Council for the Chemical Industry

On 29 November 2024, the Minister of Employment and Labour published a notice that the Collective Agreement concluded in the Bargaining Council for the Chemical Industry to be extended to non-parties. This means that the conditions specified therein shall be binding on the parties who concluded the collective agreement and on the other employers and employees in that industry.

 

The agreement is applicable to all employees in the bargaining unit as defined in the existing company recognition agreements. The extension of the scope is a company/plant-level issue.

 

The parties have agreed for two years. The duration of this agreement shall be effective from 1 July 2023 for the parties to the collective agreement and from 9 December 2024 for the non-parties to the collective agreement and shall remain in force for the period ending 30 June 2025.
