Clothing Manufacturing Industry – Extension to non-parties of the Main Amending Collective Agreement
The Minister of Employment and Labour has declared that the Main Amending Collective Agreement which was concluded in the National Bargaining Council for the Clothing Manufacturing Industry, as set out in the Schedule to this Notice, be extended to non-parties. This means that the conditions specified therein shall be binding on the parties who concluded the Agreement and on the other employers and employees in that industry.
The minimum wages which an employer shall pay to employees is one of the provisions covered in the Main Collective Agreement. Where any of the Council’s prescribed wage rates in the National Main Collective Agreement is less than the National Minimum Wage (NMW) it will be adjusted upwards to at least the NMW. The onus is on the employer to ensure that they are not in contravention of the NMW.
The Agreement comes into effect from 17 February 2025 and for the period ending 31 August 2026.
