Bargaining Council for the Furniture Manufacturing Industry of the Western Cape – Change of Bargaining Council Name and Correction Notice

The Bargaining Council for the Furniture Manufacturing Industry of the Western Cape (LR2/6/6/32) has officially changed its name. The bargaining council is now registered as the Bargaining Council for the Furniture Manufacturing Industry of the Cape Provinces with effect from 6 March 2025.

Furthermore, the Minister of Employment and Labour has published a correction notice of the extension of the period of operation of the main agreement which was concluded in the Bargaining Council for the Furniture Manufacturing Industry of the Western Cape, by a further period ending 30 September 2025.

The Main Collective Agreement establishes the terms and conditions of employment for the industry. All businesses operating within this sector are required to comply with this agreement. The previously extended terms and conditions of the Main Collective Agreement will remain in effect until the new specified date.
