National State of Disaster extended

The National State of Disaster was extended to the 15th of December 2021 by Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, this is the 18th extension since South Africa was declared to be in a national State of Disaster in March 2020.

The reasons for the extension are to enable government to continue observing the effect of all non-pharmaceutical intervention measures against COVID-19 and to try and increase the vaccinated numbers as part of their contingency plan.
